I thought the play was fantastic; Cherry Jones gave an incredible performance. I'm glad you think that Shanley's writing for the film maintains the same subtlety as for the stage and that meaning is left to the audience. For the film to have the same impact as the play, it's very important that the ultimate decision as to the truth remain with the viewers. I really look forward to seeing Doubt.
